In accordance with the document issued by the entity, the acts of deception when adding lactosuero to the Integal Milk (UAT) “They induced consumers to error, who do not have the necessary elements to detect on their own the presence of this substance, affecting their decision -making capacity on the nature and quality of the product to acquire.”
The companies that were fined for incurring this deceptive practice are: Gloria, Lactalis, Hacienda San Mateo and Sabanalac.
“With the addition of Lactosuero these societies had the possibility of selling at the same price as their competitors, extending their profit margin, or selling the product at a lower price”add the report on unfair practice of the aforementioned companies.
The sic points out that the laboratory samples were taken by the National Food and Medication Surveillance Institute (INVIMA) In brands, like Gold medal, Maximum, Algarra, De La Cuesta, Alkosto Hyperahorro, Parmalat, Latti and Pomar.
