He ratified the participation of the party in the elections of April 27, and announced that within the more than 400 proposals received from aspirations to candidacies, they evaluate defining some 13 of them with the possibility of participating in the elections to governors, a note of press.
He said that each of the proposals for candidates or already defined candidates will be strictly formalized under the regulations of the party’s own statutes and always attached to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic.
“From Copei we already have a group of candidates for governors, legislators and deputies to the National Assembly. Within them we have proposals of 13 people who intend to be taken into account to be candidates for governors or governors, ”he said.
Alvarado commented that another of the roads to finally select the candidates of April 27 is through surveys. Meanwhile, he said the importance of defining in the next few days if this will be the process of the aforementioned choice, since he recalled that from March the postulate process would begin.
“On March 5, the application process begins, we are talking about less than a month, and the issue of surveys, requires a field work that can make a survey as representative as possible,” he said.
Similarly, the Copeyano leader flatly ruled out the primary mechanism to choose his candidates and candidates, because he considers that these processes have only served to fracture and divide the opposition political sectors.
