Arequipa would add a new mining project, after the Australian company Ausquest Limited found copper and gold site in the district of Chala, Caravelí.
The project called Cangalloit would be on a large scale, since the discovery promises that the mineral is extracted very close to the surface and deep.
Graeme Drew, Ausquest’s managing director, explained that Cangallo’s location is close to important infrastructure, as it is less than 10 kilometers from the coast and electric lines regional, providing additional force to this mining project.
“This is another set of excellent results of our Cangallo Prospect, the final trial lot has exceeded our expectations and has confirmed Cangallo as an important discovery of copper-hero porphyry in Peru”Drew noted.
The manager assured that there is an important growth potential in Cangallo and hope that in the new exploratory perforations they will continue to find more copper near the surface, as well as sulphides mineralization of greater depth.
The company will publish a more detailed evaluation of the results of the inaugural drilling in the coming weeks, once the interpretation of the multielement data has been completed and have been integrated with other available data.
The Ausquest Limited company began with perforations since December last year, and the studies presented them after two months of works, in addition, it is expected that these perforations They continue to be carried out, in order to detail this work, of the new project that will be carried out in the district of Chala.
