4 people dedicated to extorting merchants in Aragua

In an operation coordinated by the local authorities, the arrest of four individuals involved in a case of extortion that affected merchants of the Girardot municipality, Maracay, Aragua, reported in his IG account, the director of the Corps of Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations (CICPC), Douglas Rico General Commissioner.

He explained that the capture operation was led by officials of the municipal delegation, after several complaints received by those affected.

The detainees are: Luis Alejandro Flores Ortega (27), Roseyla María García Vázquez (38), Juan Andrés Zerpa Vásquez (30) and, Erika Daniela Velásquez (40).

Rico also informed that in this case they are about to stop Wiltzi Alexander Hernández Rodríguez, Danne Enrique Velásquez Velásquez and Miguel Esteban García Vázquez, who were in charge of contacting business owners in order to obtain illegal payments in exchange for allowing them to work normally, criminal practice that generated anxiety among merchants.

After the capture, several cell phones were located, which are being subjected to special experts for the extraction of information important for investigations, cash and the recovery of two motorcycle vehicles used as a means of crime commission.

The apprehended were at the order of the Sixth Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
