The National Meeting of Mayors and Mayors, which will take place in Brasilia, starting this Tuesday (11), has, among its main objectives, to prepare municipal management to face climate change, said Minister Alexandre Padilha, of the Secretariat of Relations Institutional presidency of the Republic, in an interview with the Reporter Brazilfrom the TV Brazil.

According to Padilha, the meeting will have a dynamic simulation platform called “mayor”.

APPLICATION OF RESOURCES
The minister said the event is a great opportunity for mayors to know how to accelerate the transfer of resources. For him, it is a moment for managers to ask questions.
Padilha assessed that managers will know how to access the resource without intermediaries, through programs and policies, and not depending on what was known as “pix amendments” (transfer of parliamentarians resources directly to the city through amendments).
This requires work plan.
“This municipal managers will also learn at this meeting. How to make this work plan and how this is accompanied by the federal government and the control bodies. ”
Capacitation
The minister indicated that the exchange of ideas will make managers know the training and institutional strengthening programs, as well as consortia of neighboring municipalities, for example, to find solutions together to similar problems.
“Sometimes the municipality alone cannot shop for medicines and food. There, several municipalities are added and make the purchases, ”he exemplified.
