Hundreds of brigadistas remain deployed in various areas of the south of Argentina, where forest fires They have consumed about 36 300 hectares.
The fires, which have occurred since last December, affect several locations and two national parks in Argentine Patagonia, in provinces such as Chubut, Río Negro and Neuquén.
The winds, smoke and high temperatures complicate the tasks of the brigades deployed in those places.

In Nahuel Huapi National Park, located between Neuquén and Río Negro, El Fuego, originated at the end of December, already consumed about 10 300 hectares in the apple sectors and the meek.

Another out of control is in the town of El Bolsón, in the province of Río Negro, where, according to the provincial Executive, the burned surface amounted to 3392 hectares.

The Río Negro Government reported this Sunday in a statement that, “given the complexity of the situation,” the deployment of 72 fire combatants and that six aerial media work – three hydrant airplanes and three helicopters – plus a logistics helicopter .
The Argentine army also works in the area, attending the victims. Meanwhile, in the province of Chubut some 300 people work in fighting fires.
One of the spotlights – now as “content” – is in the town of Epuyén, where the fire has burned about 3,530 hectares of vegetation, including thickets, grasslands, plantations, shrubs and native forest, in addition to about 70 homes.
