The imprisoned governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho, considered Friday that the movement to socialism (more) “hates” the department of Santa Cruz because, according to his version, he made a “systematic attack” against that region during governments by Evo Morales and Luis Arce.
“Shortly after our bicentennial, from this cell in Chonchocoro, I wonder: Why does the most hate Santa Cruz so much?”, Camacho wrote on his social networks and, to sustain his position, he presented a long list of alleged“ offenses and contempt ”of the MAS.
In 2008, “Evo did not know the popular vote for the regional statute; In 2009 he invented the terrorism case and accused the Civic Movement of Terrorism and Separatism Cruz; In 2016, he again ignored the popular vote (majority vote in Santa Cruz) that said no to re -election; And in 2019, fraud made, again ignoring the vote of the people (again mostly in Santa Cruz), ”he said.
He added that, in 2022, Arce joined “that tradition of deep contempt against Santa Cruz, ignoring the vote of the majority of the crossings, kidnapping his elected governor, swelling the list of persecuted persecuted and political prisoners.”
“With that act, of state terrorism, Arce ratified his hatred of Santa Cruz and everything crossed. In parallel to all that long list of offenses and political contempt against the vote of the cross -country, the most has sustained another long list of attacks and contempt against the cross -country model, ”he said.
He stressed that the last chapter of these “systematic attacks” against the productive model Cruceño was the recent brake on the export of meat.

And for months he has been saying, with total cynicism, that he is not the culprit of the crisis and that the culprits are the entrepreneurs and the sectors that are part of the cross -country model, ”he lamented.
“The constant and systematic attack against Santa Cruz is not understood, more when that attack is motivated by hatred and resentment. Santa Cruz is the department that hosts the most Bolivians, which generates the most opportunities. The department that has promoted the struggles for the great political and historical claims of modern democracy, ”he continued.
However, the governor also considered that “new times” will come with the next general elections in Bolivia, scheduled for August, because “Santa Cruz has matured politically and looks at the future without grudges.”
“From Santa Cruz we are going to defeat a tyranny again and we will send their homes to the great odists of the 21st century: Evo, Arce and all forms of Masism. For a united Bolivia, without prisoners or persecuted politicians, with work and opportunities, we assume the great responsibility that history is demanding: recover democracy, dignity and get out of the crisis, ”he concluded.
Camacho is one of the members of the so -called “Bolivian Democratic Opposition Unity Block”, which tries to get the more that Bolivia has governed for almost two decades.
