The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has established four valid alerts this Saturday (8), across the country, for which highlights rainfall and extreme heat.
The heat alert is divided into two areas, one more severe in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, and another moderate to the coast of the two states and Paraná.
The other alerts foresee heavy rainfall throughout the Amazon, central region, part of the northeast and southeast of the country. The most severe forecast is for the northern states, with the possibility of storm formation.
In central-south, there is a record of remote possibility of storm formation in the afternoon, the usual summer blows.
The regions of the northern coast of Paraná and the southern coast of São Paulo have a warning on account of the accumulated rainfall last week. The Ribeira Valley, at the north of the alert region, received heavy rains early Saturday morning.
The most critical situation takes place in the city of Pariquera-Açu (SP), where the Fire Department and the Civil Defense record flooding in several neighborhoods, including the Center. At the moment, the city has compromised access, blocking some points from the Ivo Zanella Highway (SP-222), by falling trees, flooding and landslides, and some difficulties in access where the accumulated prevents free traffic.
Civil Defense and Firefighters teams work in removing families in flooded areas and already inform the decrease in heavy rains in the region, with the expectation that families can return to their homes today. Two Cajati ferries, a registration boat and an Iguape boat are on their way to the municipality. Jacupiranga and Eldorado firefighters are on their way with a vessel.
