The Presidency of the Republic published Decree 0142 of February 6, 2025 in which it empowers the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo, to assume presidential functions while the Head of State, Gustavo Petro, travels to the World Summit of Governments 2025, in Dubai, from where he will then take a tour in the East.

President Petro will be out of Colombia between February 9 and the 16th of the same month, after participating on February 10, 11 and 12 at the Summit of Governments, in the city of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

After He will move to the city of Doha, in Qatar, where he will make an official visit on February 12, 13 and 14.
Subsequently He will travel, on February 14 and 15, to the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, in order to make an official visit to that country. His return is scheduled for February 16, 2025.

“In accordance with the constitutional provisions and the precedence established in the Law, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Dr. Guillermo Aifonso Jaramillo Martínez, is enabled to exercise constitutional and legal functions as a delegate minister”indicates the decree.
