After the serious accusations made yesterday by the mayor of Lima, Rafael López Aliagaagainst the NGO Manuela Ramosthe organization’s response was swift.
The burgomaster assured that the feminist NGO would have been part of the USAID beneficiaries and assured that it “has stolen” the Peruvian people.
“I am looking for the truth of how the funds that were for social assistance have been stolen from the Peruvian people. For example, Manuela Ramos, a specific case, steals the town for more than 1 million dollars of the 1.4 million it received,” affirmed Channel N.
According to López Aliaga, that million dollars would have been used to pay forms and not to help the “needy.”
“It’s absolutely false”
“Everything that Mr. Lopez Aliaga has said in several interviews is absolutely false. We will proceed legally. We denounce the campaign of misinformation, harassment and persecution undertaken by sectors that do not want us to continue fighting for equality and non -discrimination,” he said Manuela Ramos in a statement released in X.
