A tragic traffic accident was recorded on the night of February 4, 2025 on the road between La Mesa and Bogotá, in Cundinamarca. A group of motorcyclists starred in a dangerous caravan at high speed, performing risky maneuvers that ended in a deadly collision.

Videos spread on social networks show the exact moment of the impact in which a motorcyclist, after losing control of his vehicle in a curve, fell on the road and went to the opposite lane. Unfortunately, an ambulance traveled through the place and could not avoid the impact, hitting the motorcyclist with its front tires.
The impact was so severe that, despite the rapid intervention of the paramedics, the young driver lost his life at the scene. According to witnesses, darkness and speed were determining factors that reduced the reaction capacity of the ambulance driver.

The authorities carried out the lifting of the body and advance the corresponding investigation to clarify the exact causes of the road accident.
This unfortunate event has revived concern about road safety in Colombia, especially with regard to motorcyclist caravans that put their lives and that of other road users at risk.
