The Ministry of Women launched this Friday (7), in Rio de Janeiro, the campaign Zero Femicide in Sapucaí. With the main message “No violence against women should be tolerated”, campaign pieces will be exhibited in different spaces of the sambadrome, panels, lanes on the avenue will be carried by women, stickers in the doors of bathrooms and in graphic materials distributed during Carnival .
The action has the partnership of the Ministry of Health, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) and the Independent League of Rio de Janeiro Samba Schools (Liesa). The messages that will reach the revelers remember that Carnival is a time to celebrate and not harass. Another indication is that facing and interrupting violence against women is also the role of men. “To have equality, we need to be alive, whole, without being raped and raped. I believe it is possible to change Brazilian society so that it is not of violence, but of respect for women. We have done our part with public policy and investment in resources But that is not enough. Each human being must understand that this is a problem of all.
Zero femicide is a permanent national mobilization of the Ministry of Women, which has different fronts of action with wide and popular communication, implementation of public policies and engagement of influencers.
The campaign also has the support of the Ministries of Racial Equality and Health.
“Violence is a matter of health. SUS need not only deal with the impact of violence. The role of health is also to add to prevention. We do not want the need to have more reception rooms. Because prevention is fundamental,” he said The Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade.
“The reason we are here together is to remember that we have to come together to fight violence. Feminicide starts with various signs. We can’t shut up. And at Carnival we will strongly mark this fight, which needs to be everyone against machismo and misogyny in society, “added Nisia.

The city hall also participates in the actions at Carnival and sees the party as an opportunity to increase the engagement of society with the agenda.
