Puno: merchants assaulted officials and municipal police during ordering operation in Juliaca

A group of merchants, who invade the sidewalks and streets of the Jirones Tarma and surrounding Juliaca, attached blunt objects to a mayor and municipal police officers, whose event occurred during an ordering operation.

During the operation, merchandise and other objects that occupied public space were removed, preventing pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

In this circumstance, a group of vendors reacted violently, assaulting and with forceful objects to the auditors. In addition, they threw wood boxes to the trucks that supported the transfer of personnel and merchandise seized.

According to the commune, when the operation already culminated, the same group of people retained one of the agents of the Municipal Police, entering a home to physically assault. The official Jorge Malma, in his attempt to rescue the mayor server, was injured after a blunt object hit the head. Another group of people went up to the truck to recover confiscated objects, they said.

Likewise, the enraged merchants threw stones at the front charger that supported the removal of construction material. At another time, an individual cut the vehicle tire to hinder the operation.

The official Jorge Malma said that this operation was planned in advance with other management, since it had already been previously notified to defounder public spaces.
