Integration between physical and digital stores is a retail future bet

What are the trends for the future of retail trade in Brazil? Integration between physical and digital stores and quick delivery services are two points raised by the entity that deserve attention from retailers who want to grow, or at least keep up with active. The evaluation came from the entity’s technical advisor, Kelly Carvalho, from the discussions of another event, held in January in the United States, organized by the National Retail Federation (NRF).

“Scanning should be prioritized, with investments in e-commerce, marketplaces and integration between physical and digital channels. Retail of essential goods tends to benefit from increased income and employment, while credit dependent segments should focus on promotions and easy payment conditions, ”said Kelly.

For the advisor, “the future of online commerce and traditional retail will be marked by increasingly dynamic balance, where the integration of both formats will become essential to the success of companies.”

Integration between the physical and digital means (omnichannel model) will be indispensable, Kelly commented, adding that physical stores will no longer be points of sale and will act as experience, distribution and support centers, “where consumers will be able to try Products before buying online, remove orders made over the internet and have a more personalized service. ”

In addition, she also said that “the concept ‘phigital’, which mixes the environmental with the physique, will be increasingly explored with technologies such as virtual tasters, augmented reality and non -contact payments.”

More promising sectors

As for the retail sectors that have good prospects for the future are beauty and well-being, driven by the aging of the population, with the growth of pharmacies, supplements and cosmetics. It is also the case of the home and construction segment, for interests in residential reforms and automation, “besides the growing demand for sustainable solutions, such as solar energy.”

Already the networks of Shopping Centers No strong digital presence may lose space, predicts Kelly. “The credit and electronic appliances and electronic appliance segment faces challenges due to high interest rates, which lead consumers to postpone high value purchases. Fast Fashion suffers increasing competition from Asian giants such as Shein and Temu, as the demand for sustainable fashion grows, ”added the advisor.
