Venezuela’s time
Since 2022 the United States Government has seized three aircraft controlled by the administration of Nicolás Maduro, one of load and two executive profile usually used for the transfer of prominent figures of the Maduro administration.

Other senior government officials also used that plane. For example, Delcy Rodríguez approached him to go to National Celebrations of San Vicente and the Granada and to go, together with Jorge Arreaza, to activities convened by the Puebla group in Mexico and in Bolivia.

The Emrasur case
The first Venezuelan use plane retained by US justice was the Boeing 747-300M registration YV3531. The measure was executed in June 2022, after it was left without fuel at the Ezeiza International Airport in Argentina. The aircraft was part of the fleet of the Venezuelan transport company Emrasur, a conviasa subsidiary.
The US said that the Boeing 747-300M registration YV3531 had violated the sanctions for “unauthorized transfer.” The aircraft was held more than a year and a half in Argentina until it is finally seized in February 2024.
Before becoming the state of Emrasur, the Boeing 747-300M belonged to the Iranian airline Mahan Air, which was sanctioned for violating federal export control laws in the US, according to the US department of justice and linked to the body of the body of The Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC).

The 19 people on board were arrested when they were accused of espionage, but later an Argentine judge dismissed the charges and in October 2022 the crew members had been released.
