Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader received this Thursday in his office of the National Palace to the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, within the framework of a meeting to address issues of bilateral interest.
Rubio arrived at the National Palace at 11:42 in the morning, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez. Upon arrival, he was received by the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Beicho, and the director of Ceremonial of State and Protocol, Ambassador Francisco José Cantizano Nadal.
Immediately, the Secretary of State was taken to the White Hall, where he held a private meeting with President Abinader. Then, both went to the green room for a work lunch with their respective delegations. The day will conclude with a joint statement to the press in the Ambassadors Hall.
