The Minister of Transport and Communications, Raúl Pérez Reyes, informed that the new Jorge Chávez International Airport has reached a 99 % advance in its construction.

Pérez Reyes emphasized that any delay in opening is not due to problems with road accesses, but to the need to complete rigorous functioning tests.
In parallel, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has announced important improvements in infrastructure and connection with public transport to facilitate access to the airport.
Works are being executed on Morales Duárez and Faucett avenues, in addition to the construction of bridges in coordination with the municipality of Callao.
