Colgate-Palmolive has taken a significant step in the aid to families affected by the humanitarian crisis in the Catatumbo, through a generous donation of oral, personal and cleaning care products.

In order to meet the urgent needs of the communities displaced by violence in the Catatumbo, Colgate-Palmolive has announced an upcoming delivery of essential products to the Archidiocesan Foundation Food Bank Cali.

This contribution aims to bring hope and well -being to the communities that face the difficult conditions imposed by violence and displacement in the region.
The donation will be delivered to the Archidiocesan Foundation Banco Cali, who, through the Association of Food Banks of Colombia (Abaco), will manage the distribution of these essential products towards the most needy areas.
The initiative aims to meet the urgent needs of people displaced by violence, especially in areas where thousands of families face critical conditions.
Francisco Muñoz, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Colgate-Palmolive Colombia, said that the company has a firm commitment to social responsibility:
“This donation is designed to meet basic needs of people displaced by public order problems in the Catatumbo. We know that it is not a definitive solution, but it represents a significant relief for those who face adverse situations. ”
Donated products include personal toilet items such as dental creams, tooth brushes, soaps, among others, specifically selected to meet the most immediate needs of these vulnerable communities.

The Catatumbo has been the scene of a growing humanitarian crisis, exacerbated by violence and forced displacement. Father Joaquín Alberto Gómez Rendón, Executive Director of the Archidiocesana Foundation Banco de Food Cali, commented:
