Paris. Palestinian organizations, several Arab and Western countries and the UN rejected Wednesday the proposal of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to get the population out of the Gaza Strip to set the conflict between Hamas and Israel.
Trump again proposed that the inhabitants of Gaza leave Jordan or Egypt.
“The United States will take control of the Gaza Strip,” Trump said Tuesday, suggesting a “long -term property” of the United States to convert the territory into “La Riviera del Middle East.”
Despite criticism, Trump insisted on Wednesday that “everyone loves” his proposal.

The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, spoke against any “ethnic cleaning” attempt in Gaza.
“Saudi Arabia reaffirms its categorical rejection of any violation of the rights of the Palestinian people, either by colonization, annexation of the Palestinian territories or forced displacement of Palestinians,” said the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, insisted on “the importance of quickly moving forward in recovery projects (…) without the Palestinians abandoning Gaza.”
Yesterday, the White House spokeswoman clarified Trump’s words: “The president has not committed to deploying troops on the ground in Gaza, still.”

“President Mahmud Abás and Palestinian leaders strongly reject the calls to seize the Gaza Strip,” said the spokesman of the Palestinian authority, Nabil Abu Rudeina.
The European Union declared that the Gaza Strip is an “integral part of a future Palestinian state,” said a spokesman for the block.
“The EU is still compromised with firmness in favor of a solution of two states, which for us is the only way for a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians,” he added.
“We oppose the forced displacement of the Palestinians of Gaza,” he wrote in X Mélanie Joly, Canadian Foreign Minister.
Brazil, Russia, Spain, among others, also criticized Trump.
