The Company of Poultry farmers of Cerro Largo is calling to witness the sample of birds with subsequent sale of specimens that will take place next weekend at its premises in the convents premises.
This activity is carried out next to a new edition of the Ovina Expo that annually organizes the agricultural society of Cerro Largo.
“For the first time, Barela will accompany the exposure of sheep on February 8 and 9. The time for us is a complicated one because the birds are all doing the replicume. Anyway, 60 birds and 9 of the Bantam were achieved, which are the little ones ” confirmed Antonio Cedrés to The daily professional.
“It is an exposure without jury, rather it is a sample with option to sales” explained. “There will be an admission jury so that the animals that enter have no problem. Who buy will have all the guarantees ” highlighted.

“Everyone who wants to buy will only have to approach the convents. They have already called us from Rivera. “In Uruguay, 4 or 5 departments are dedicated to breeding poultry. That makes the market move. As they serve to make crosses for fattening and laying chickens, people buy a lot ” explained.
Saturday and Sunday all day

This first experience, if it yields good results, will be repeated in following years. “Yes, we will have to make a rethink to have chickens. The idea is to get even earlier to get this exhibition on time ” held.
The sample arises at the request of the President of the Agricultural Society. “He asked us to organize a sample to have a greater variety of activities. Being only sheep he thought he was convenient to attach something with the birds because people like to attend ” He pointed out.
