ATP (Association of Professional Tennismen) announced on Monday (3) the ratio of pairs that will compete in Rio Open, ATP 500 competition that will be held between February 15 and 23 at the Brazilian Jockey Club, in Rio de Janeiro.
One of the highlights is the only 100% Brazilian duo guaranteed directly through the ranking, formed by Marcelo Melo, owner of 38 titles in the double circuit, and Rafael Matos, the first Brazilian to lift the Open River trophy (2024 with Nicolas Barriers) and champion of the Australian Open 2023 in the mixed pairs (with LuĂsa Stefani).

Among the international stars the highlight is the duo formed by Americans Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram, silver medalists of the last edition of the Olympic Games, played in Paris (France) in 2024. The former number 1 in the world joined definitive forces after The conquest in France and seek the title in the Marvelous City. In addition, it draws attention to the presence of the champions of the 2023 edition of the Open River: Måximo Gonzalez and Andrés Molteni.
Another three pairs will join the 13 teams already announced. Two vacancies are reserved for the organization’s invitations and a pair will come from Qualifying, which will consist of three partnerships defined by the ranking and a guest team.
