An inmate of the Huamancaca prison, in the province of Chupaca, died on Friday afternoon, apparently after being attacked with a white weapon for another inmate during a gresca. The authorities carry out the investigations on the case.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred by averaging 12:00 pm in Pavilion 3 of the maximum security prison. Royver Cusinga Vivanco, sentenced for sexual violation, would have been attacked by Alex Huarcaya Laura convicted of aggravated robbery.

The Public Ministry for the lifting of the body and the National Police of the Criminalistics area for investigations arrived at the place. So far there was no pronouncement from the National Penitentiary Institute.
