Guadalupe Taddei, president of the INE, reported that the resources will be released by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. They will be used to install 84,000 boxes
“Everything is already in the Treasury, there is the process ready. Nothing else is generating the structure that has to be generated by disposal of the Treasury,” Taddei explained.
In the INE, however, they still have the hope that the federal government will deliver the requested total resources.
The Institute will use more than 7,000 million pesos in total for the election.
The expansion of resources was authorized after the directors explained in detail the president Claudia Sheinbaum how they were going to be used.
The directors have said that the budget extension will allow the INE to increase the technical and operational quality of the electoral process, consolidating once again, the confidence of citizenship in the institute.
With this, the INE will strengthen ” the principles that govern the electoral matter, in the organization of the election of the new members of the Judicial Power of the Federation. ”
