Natural gas will be cheaper from this Saturday (1st), said the president of Petrobras, Magda Chambriard. According to the executive, the price of natural gas will have an average reduction of 1% for distributors compared to the previous quarter.
Magda Chambriard pointed out that the price of the product had an average reduction of 23% since December 2022.
“Due to the readjustment rules provided for in the contracts with distributors, there will be an average reduction of 1% in the sales prices of the natural gas molecule compared to the previous quarter,” he said on social networks.
“Since December 2022, the average price of the molecule sold to distributors accumulates a reduction of up to 23%, including the effects of 1% reduction in February 2025,” added the president of Petrobras.
Consumer
According to Petrobras, the final price of natural gas to the consumer is not only determined by the sale value by the company, but also for the cost of transportation to the distributor, the supply portfolio of each distributor, as well as their margins and by federal and state taxes. In the case of vehicle natural gas (CNG), the costs of resale posts are also included.
The company also pointed out that the adjustment on the 1st does not refer to the price of cooking gas (LPG), packed in cylinders or sold in bulk.
