This project establishes that people over 18 years of age who exercise voluntarily and autonomous work are recognized as workers with full rights. Within the provisions they stand out:
- Labor contracts: The obligation of fixed term contracts with all the benefits of law is established, prohibiting contracting for the provision of services or other modalities that precarce the labor.
- Social security: Access to health, pensions and occupational risks will be guaranteed for people who exercise this work.
- Decent working conditions: The creation of safe work environments will be promoted, with fair remuneration that are not inferior to the current legal minimum wage.
- Regulation of establishments: Regulations for clubs, dating houses and other establishments where sex work is exercised, guaranteeing respect for the rights of the people who work there, will be defined.
Senator Sandra Ramírez, of the Comunes party, said: “This project seeks to dignify sex work, recognizing those who exercise it as subjects of rights and guaranteeing fair and human working conditions.”

The project was based in the Senate and assigned to the Seventh Commission, in charge of labor and social security matters. In the last quarter of 2024, its first debate was carried out and was approved. However, his legislative procedure has not yet concluded. It is expected that in the first semester of 2025 the discussions in the plenaries of the Senate and the House of Representatives for final approval continue.
