The diplomat also assured that countries, as well as Peru, need to continue supporting the legitimate election of Edmundo González as president of Venezuela. “International support is required to return democracy to Venezuela,” he added.
Likewise, Javier González-Olaechea revealed some details of the meeting he held with the Venezuelan leader and pointed out that it was in private strict.
“It was an invitation that we formulated to Edmundo and his wife. He has been very pleasant and very honorable to have them at this meeting,” said the former chancellor.
