The Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB) executed, during 2024, a total of 2,490 operations and achieved the apprehension of 3,291 people for their alleged link in the commission of various punishable events, said the general commander of the CPNB, superior commissioner, Rubén Santiago Servigna
During his participation in the radio program “At the rhythm of security”, the first edition of the year 2025, the police chief reported on the development of 319 procedures in which it was possible to capture 263 members of organized bands.
Agree with a press release from the Ministry of Interior Justice and Peace, Servigna highlighted the effort of the men and women of the CPNB in the fight against organized crime, while highlighting the work done to try to capture criminal leaders as “” El Danielito ”,“ Carlos Capa ”and“ El Gordo ”, who died after facing the police commissions during the operations in the Valleys of Tuy, Miranda State.
On the seizure of drugs, he reported on the confiscation in the national territory of more than 4,325 kilograms of various psychotropic substances.
He also referred to the dismissal of more than 6 thousand CPNB during 2024 for the commission of some type of abuse or bad police practice. “On the instructions of our president commander, we have carried out the execution of these procedures, attached to the law, because our mission is to end police bad practices, following the vision of our supreme commander Hugo Chávez: the protection of life, of the goods and achievements of the Bolivarian revolution ”.
Servigna said that “today the Bolivarian National Police Corps has more than 95 thousand men and women, who, rooted in revolutionary and Bolivarian thinking, are trained daily in the field of study and permanent training, in addition to having spaces and equipment of Infrastructure to face current challenges through perfect popular, military and police fusion. ”
Regarding crime prevention, he reported on the opening of new spaces for the promotion of culture of prevention through sport. “We want to inform our brothers of the Cota 905 that soon a basketball, baseball and swimming school for children will work.”
He also stressed that this security body is permanently deployed along the Valle-Coche highways, great Guaicaipuro chieftain and other road arteries of the capital city to address the incidents that arise.
