The project is part of the new Growth Acceleration Program (PAC). There are R $ 829 million in direct financing from BNDES and R $ 5.55 billion in issuance of debentures, which are fixed income credit securities issued by the bank to raise funds in the financial market.

The president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante, stressed that the bank funded 85% of all investments in roads in Brazil, the country’s main logistical modal. According to him, in 2024, R $ 23 billion were approved for road transport, record volume in the bank’s 72 years.

“There is no long -term financing for such challenging infrastructure, it is a central problem of productivity, efficiency, greenhouse gas reduction, reducing the cost of maintenance of the fleet of trucks, equipment, automobiles, if we Do not improve this infrastructure, ”he said at the ceremony.

Transport Minister Renan Filho also commented on the volume of private investments in the country. “We have already auctioned four [lotes] And this year we will make the last two auctions of the state of Paraná. The state, therefore, will capture the largest investment volume for the development of highways in its history: R $ 60 billion will be invested to modernize the infrastructure, ensure more security for people. “Highway needs large investments to ensure flow, higher average speed and consequently more export capacity. So these investments will greatly help Paraná’s ability to export their own production and the production of neighboring states, ”he added.
