Belfor Fabio García Henao was appointed as Minister of ICT in commission. This after Mauricio Lizcano announced his departure from the portfolio on January 20.

The new minister in commission currently serves as Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of the Ministry, since, according to the decree, it will continue to exercise.
Garcia has a vast experience in the technological field. This is supported with its passage as director of the Office of Planning and Information Systems in the District Secretariat of Government in the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá and for its leadership in institutional strategic planning and the implementation of the Integrated Management System.
The official was also head of the Planning Advisory Office in the Special Administrative Unit of the Official Fire Department.
