After several officials of the Regional Government of Zulia and related to the party a new time (UNT) decided to recognize Nicolás Maduro as president, the governor of this state Manuel Rosales attended this Tuesday, January 28 to the Miraflores Palace to participate in the Plenary of the Federal Government Council.
To date, Governor Zulian has not pronounced on the subject. With the presence of Rosales in the meeting chaired by Maduro it is inferred that the governor accompanies the decision of the leaders of his UNT party.
A few days ago, the president of the Legislative Council of Zulia (Clez) and a member of a new time, Iraida Villamil, recognized Maduro as president of the country, despite the questions to her oath by the Venezuelan opposition as for the community international.
«I recognize the authority that is sitting in Miraflores and was sworn by the same national legislative power. I would not like that, being the president of the Regional Legislative Council, I would question another power because that is the beautiful thing about political life, which has been lost a bit of such triviality, ”said Villamil.
For his part, the mayor of the Zulian municipality of San Francisco, Gustavo Fernández, said last Friday before the regional press that the “spaces are not delivered.”
He added that “we work very hard to recover San Francisco and will continue to have us, with Gustavo Fernández, with Manuel Rosales and all the mayors of the municipalities. Good things come and political factors far from facing each other, this year we agreed for everyone’s well -being. We cannot allow discouragement to come to us, we have to continue with hope, ”he said.
After these statements many expected explanations of the UNT leader and governor of Zulia who already criticized his possible participation in the regional and parliamentary elections, convened by the National Electoral Council (CNE) for next April 28.
Rosales, who was also a presidential candidate, sent to his Secretary of Government Juan Barboza, also from UNT, to the meeting of the National Assembly of 2020 of January 14, in which the schedule of the elections and Proposals for the reform of electoral laws.
The Federal Government Council also attended the governed by Barinas Sergio Garrido and the governor of Cojedes Alberto Galíndez, of opposition parties that make up the democratic unity of the opposition: democratic action and first justice.
