Daniel Noboa presidente de Ecuador

Ecuador President Daniel Noboa signed three agreements with Edmundo González Urrutia. It is planned to declare the Transnational Train of Aragua, with a presence in Ecuador, as a terrorist group

As “historical” the meeting was qualified between Ecuador President Daniel Noboa and opposition leader Edmundo González, by the Venezuelan community in that country. The meeting was in Quito this Tuesday, January 28.

González Urrutia, who arrived on Ecuador on Monday, was received with state honors by Noboa. Then in the historic center, SHe alluded from the presidential balcony to Venezuelans who concentrated with flags from his country In the Plaza de la Independencia, as María Corina Machado previously requested.

Through X, the representative Machado thanked the Ecuadorian people “therefore affection and support.” González’s visit to Ecuador is part of an international tour of support to return to Venezuela.

After the respective greetings, Noboa and González entered the Carondelet Palace, where they held a meeting behind closed doors. Once the conversation was over, the Ecuadorian president reported on the three agreements he arrived with González, this is:

1. Declare Transnational Train of Aragua, with a presence in Ecuador, as a terrorist group. This is carried out, Noboa said, “to achieve a coordinated response against this scourge.”

2. Noboa proposed that case there are restrictions for Venezuelan oil, Ecuador is willing to sell up to 250,000 barrels of crude oil daily to the countries that buy the product from Venezuela.

3. He agreed to sign a cooperation agreement between the Secretariat of Anti -Corruption of Ecuador and the González Urrutia team to “share data, in order to fight drug trafficking, illegal mining, human trafficking …” in the country.

It is not yet clear what is the scope of these agreements or without legally binding, since in Venezuela, Maduro is the one who serves as president.

Despite this, Noboa stood out in his social networks agreed with González, and wrote: “These decisions are only the beginning to recover what meaningless polarization has tried to snatch us.”

After passing through Ecuador, González will travel to Peru to meet with President Dina Boluarte, after doing the same in recent weeks in Argentina, Uruguay, Panama, Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
