The Ministry of Health’s monitoring panel on Monday (27) 21 dengue deaths in the country in 2025, two thirds of which in the state of São Paulo, where the State Secretariat campaign for vaccination of vulnerable audiences. Immunization has had low demand from the preferred public, consisting of young people aged 10 to 14 years.
The accompaniment shows just over 139,000 probable cases of dengue recorded in the country, of which 82,000 in São Paulo. 160 deaths with suspected dengue, 114 in São Paulo are investigated. Monitoring of the State Department of Health records only 7 deaths among 81,950 probable cases, while 121 cases are under investigation.
The State Government also records that 37 municipalities are in emergency situations due to the epidemic, being Jacareí and Mira Estrela, both in the interior of São Paulo, in emergency since January 2024.
