Members of the Dominican Navy with the support of the Air Force, rescued 24 people who intended to travel illegally to Puerto Rico and whose boat was drifting north to the community of Celedonio, from Seibo.
The Castrense institution indicates that the rapid action of naval units allowed illegal travelers to be rescued healthy and saved and express that they are in stable health conditions.
According to the Navy, the homemade manufacturing vessel in which the 24 people intended to reach Puerto Rico, the strong waves was beaten, causing it to be drifting in the indicated area.

The frustrated travelers were taken to the headquarters of the M-2 Naval Intelligence Department in the Los Mameyes sector, Santo Domingo Este, and determining experienced officers, who or who were the organizers.
