The heavy rain that hit, on the afternoon of Friday (24), several regions of São Paulo still harms the operation of the subway in several lines, harming the return home of the paulistanos.
According to the company’s website, three lines – blue, green and red – still work with reduced speed. The other three – yellow, lilac and silver – operated again.
One of the hardest hit stations was Jardim São Paulo – Ayrton Senna (blue line), which became flooded and passengers had to cling to the fences to protect themselves. The storm was so strong that drivers appeared inside the wagons.
Congonhas
Aen, a concessionaire that operates Congonhas Airport, said the terminal works smoothly and open for landings and takeoffs. The airport, which operates, among other destinations, the São Paulo-Rio de Janeiro Air Bridge, at no time closed due to the weather conditions. Still, by operational decision of the airlines, four landings and four takeoffs were canceled.
