The national government agreed to a trust to guarantee supply and price in a context of armed conflict.

The National Government agreed on Wednesday to create a escrow that contemplates turning to the domestic market 800 thousand tons of wheatGiven the need to protect the internal market, to generate certainty and to eliminate the volatility of the prices of flour and wheat, sources from the Secretary of Domestic Trade.

The Secretary of Internal Trade, Roberto Feletti, accompanied by the Undersecretary of Policies for the Internal Market, Antonio Mezmezian, and the Undersecretary of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Delfo Buchaillot, were the ones who met with authorities of the wheat sector and mills, for the implementation of the trust.

This tool makes it possible to guarantee the supply and price of basic foods such as dry noodles and flour 000and decouple prices to protect the consumption of Argentine men and women in a global context of war conflictpotential product shortages and supply chain disruption, and with the international price of high and sustained wheat,” said the sources.

The products included in the trust will be marketed within the framework of the +Care Prices program and the understanding will be valid until January 31, 2024.
