The hotel chain in the city of Rio de Janeiro released today (23) the first preview of 2025 of the occupancy of hotels in Rio with the show scheduled for February 6th by North American singer Christina Aguilera and the Rio carnival, which this year will take place between March 1st and 5th.
According to research carried out by HoteisRIO, hotel occupancy averages are 57.13% and 68.41%, respectively.
The demand for accommodation due to the presence of the North American artist, who will perform at Farmasi Arena, in Barra da Tijuca, is on the rise. Among the most sought after regions are hotels in the regions of Leme/Copacabana, with 78.70%, Ipanema/Leblon (59.24%), Barra/Recreio/São Conrado (55.97%), Flamengo/Botafogo (49, 99%) and Center, with 29.63%.
The hotel chain’s preview for Carnival 2025 records an index of 83.74% in Leme and Copacabana, in the south zone of Rio, followed by the city center, with 79.22%, Flamengo/Botafogo, with 74.20%, Ipanema /Leblon (65.73%) and Barra/Recreio/São Conrado (55.02%).
The president of HotéisRIO, Alfredo Lopes, said that the year 2025 started well, with shows and the expectation of good results at Carnival. “The fact that Carnival takes place in March means that national tourists have time to organize themselves financially and opens up the possibility that those who came to take part in the New Year’s Eve party will want to return.”
According to Lopes, the New Year’s Eve it works as a welcome card so that visitors get to know the city better and become interested in participating in another great party. “Carnival in March extends the high season in Rio, with greater demand from the hotel chain, heated up by the Rio summer,” he assessed.
