PN captures “La Villana” for jewelry theft

Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported on the arrest of Lorena Martínez Pérez, known as “The Villain”, a recognized antisocial accused of steal two gold chains to two citizens while they were in a vehicle parked in the sector Beautiful View of the National District.

According to the report, the incident occurred when four womenpresumably members of a criminal groupthey approached the victims vehicle.

Two of them entered the car and, after exchange words with the occupiers, they stripped them of their gold chains.

Thanks to the quick intervention of the police officers, Martínez Pérez was localized and detained in the sector Cape. During the interrogation, the accused confessed his participation in fact and revealed the place where he had hidden one of the chains. This object was recovered in a home in the aforementioned sector.

The detained was made available to the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes, while authorities continue to investigate to identify and capture to the others involved.
