The IMSS-Wellness challenge

Judith Senyacen Méndez, coordinator of Health and public finances of the CIEP, details that the 16% increase in the IMSS-Well-being budget is positive and privileges the first and second level of care with it for vulnerable population groups that require him, but not those that generate more expenses in families.
“First and second level of care is privileged, there are many groups of the vulnerable population that may require IMSS-Wellness (…) It is not bad that you are investing, but you are not covering third level of care that can lead families to have catastrophic expenses”, he maintains.
Nayarit was one of the states that had signed the agreement to transfer their health services to INSABI, but now they are going to IMSS-Wellness.
