A man who had been sentenced for the crime of drugs and against personal integrity, who had escaped from the Isolation Center of the Penitentiary System in Pacoara, since June 2021, was recaptured in the Monagrillo sector, Chitré district, Herrera province through Operation Kairos II.
The commissioner, Ceferino Villarreal, explained that the citizen was being monitored for several days and when he was approached by the authorities he presented a false identification.
“The same is going to be sent to Pacora, since he was in the quarantine area and nine months ago he escaped with two more people,” Villarreal said, assuring that the transfer would be done under the strictest security measures.
