“We are in the industry, in distribution and also doing agriculture and livestock. Today we are talking about an innovation company, but we consider that we are innovators for a long time in the market. That is why we are in the leadership position that we have”, remarked President Sarabia.
H20 Innovation began as an innovation department within Agrofertil, but soon expanded and became the Innovation department of the entire Sarabia Group, including Tecnomyl and Agropecuaria Campos Nuevos, thus becoming the first agribusiness innovation center In Paraguay.
The corporate pillar covers the culture of innovation, project management and the connection with the ecosystem. The entrepreneurial pillar aims to create specific programs for project incubation, acceleration and investment.
The technologies that will be worked on in H2O Innovation are biological solutions, Big Data, IOT, AI, Robotics and Drones, among others, to be applied in the areas of agriculture, livestock, industry and ESG. All this, explained by Felipi Sarabia, head of innovation at Grupo Sarabia, during the presentation.
Felipi stressed the importance of the know-how that the group’s companies built in their actions, in a large part of the production chain: industry, distribution of agricultural supplies and services, production and marketing of grains, agriculture and livestock. And he added networking with different market players, offering connections to entrepreneurs with investment funds, technology parks, universities and the private sector.
Link with entrepreneurship
“For projects that have the potential to scale the business, we are going to offer market access in the areas of action in the countries where the Group works: in Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia”, explained Felipi Sarabia.
He also highlighted an important aspect for entrepreneurs: the possibility of validating their solutions and projects in a real environment, with all the infrastructure of the Sarabia Group, laboratories, industry, silos, product research and development areas, and agricultural production areas. .
One of the spaces inaugurated is, precisely, an Innovation Laboratory aimed at entrepreneurs so that they can ideate, create and make connections with market mentors.
As part of the launching act, the H2O Innovation hologram was presented, in a closing according to the technological imprint of such an innovative project. “The future of agribusiness is no longer a dream, it has arrived and is among us, with the name of water and, like water, it comes to bring more life to rural businesses,” the directors remarked.
For them, “the future depends on the harvest of good ideas and good ideas already have their place: H2O Innovation, the home of ideas that seek to change our field and our world.”
Felipi Sarabia announced that the next meeting will be within the framework of the First Open Innovation Program of H2O Innovation: Agribusiness Challenges, aimed at all entrepreneurs who have an idea or solution that could impact the future of agribusiness. The inscriptions will be opened shortly, being informed from the virtual channels of the Sarabia Group companies.
