The National Government has indicated that a roadmap has been defined to address the humanitarian crisis that is occurring in Catatumbo, where the Ministry of the Interior proposed central elements to confront the crisis, which go beyond the Internal Commotion decrees.
“In the coming days, work will be done to reestablish security so that the population with roots in Catatumbo can return to their homes; The national government, the Government of Norte de Santander and the municipal authorities will work on the characterization of displaced people to guarantee shelters and food. The Ministry will provide tents in Cúcuta, Ocaña and Tibú, in addition to the Departmental Health Institute will mobilize the EPS to provide basic and preventive care in shelters”; added the Ministry of the Interior.
