PLD Political Committee will meet this Thursday

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) will hold its first meeting of 2025 this Thursday, January 23 at the Reinaldo Pared Pérez National House.

The organization reported that, formally, the now 51 members of said PLD leadership body were convened at 10:00 in the morning at the PLD national headquarters in Gascue.

He indicated that it is an ordinary meeting in which the agenda will be held at the same meeting, as is customary.

However, it is expected that a report will be received on the relative aspects for the election of the Secretariat holders in charge of the Organizing Commission chaired by Cristina Lizardo and made up of Alejandrina Germán, a member of the Political Committee and the members of the Central Committee. , Celenia Vidal, Charli Polanco, Beatriz Ovalle, Bienvenido Casado and Manuel Galván.

Explanations will also be received on the organizational aspects of the Central Committee meeting scheduled for Sunday, February 9 at the Volleyball Pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in which the heads of the working bodies will be chosen, among other aspects.

The Statutes of the PLD define the Political Committee as the executive body of the Central Committee, made up of the President of the Party, the Secretary plus forty-nine (49) full members, with the statutory mandate to adopt appropriate decisions in all cases that , in his opinion, may affect the life of the Party.
