The Superintendence of Notaries and Registry has issued the Resolution No. 00179 of January 10, 2025through which the rates applicable to various registration procedures in Colombia are updated. This update is carried out in compliance with article 74 of Law 1579 of 2012, which authorizes the entity to annually adjust rates considering the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and relevant cost studies.

The Resolution establishes the values that will govern different registry services, including the issuance of tradition certificates, registration of non-amountable acts and opening of new real estate registration folios.
Main Updated Rates
- Certificates of Tradition and Freedom: Documents that prove the legal history of a property, essential for real estate transactions. The rate for their issuance has been established at $23,200.
- Registration of Acts without Amount: Includes acts such as declarations of improvements or construction that do not involve a specific monetary transaction. The fee for these events is $28,100 for each one.
- Opening of New Real Estate Registration Forms: Process necessary to register a property that does not yet have a real estate registration. The fee for this procedure is $14,600.
- Tradition certificates for larger properties : For those properties with more than 150 registry entries, the value will be $50,600.
- Certifications for processes of belonging or adjudication of urban vacant assets : These will cost $50,600 each.
- Tradition extension certificates for more than 20 years : Its value will be $51,100.
- Certifications for procedures abroad : Issued by the central level, they will cost $50,600 each, as long as they are required by consulates and bear the original signature of the Technical Director of Registry and the human resources seal.
- Certifications of non-ownership of real estate : For procedures for government subsidies, military passbooks or others, they will cost $14,600 if they are issued by electronic means.

Virtual Payments and Discounts
Article 15 establishes differential values for the issuance of certificates by electronic means. The virtual issuance of tradition certificates will have a value of $21,900, while the consultation of the owner index through electronic channels is set at $11,300.
Registration Incentive
Finally, Article 16 introduces an incentive for the registration of titles constituting transfer of ownership granted before December 31, 2000, with a cost of $27,500.
