Representatives of all political parties that participated in the elections of July 28, 2024, attended the meetings called by parliament to organize the 2025 electoral schedule
The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed that the Venezuelan opposition has all the guarantees for democratic and electoral politics in the country.
This was stated this Monday on his Telegram account, in which he stated “The Venezuelan opposition has all the guarantees to organize and carry out democratic, constitutional and electoral politics in the country.”
It is worth noting that this year at least nine electoral processes will be held in the country: the six popular consultations, the parliamentary ones, the one for governors of the 24 states, the one for mayors and the one for municipal councils.
According to the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, the representatives of all the political parties that participated with their cards in the elections of July 28, 2024attended the meetings called by parliament to organize the electoral schedule, including the cards that elected Manuel Rosales as governor of Zulia; Alberto Galíndez as governor of the state of Cojedes; Sergio Garrido, as governor of the state of Barinas, and Morel Rodríguez, as governor of the state of Nueva Esparta; as well as all the factor parties of the democratic opposition that were favored by the vote, and are now deputies to the National Assembly.
On Friday, the National Electoral Council convened a permanent session to analyze the proposals that emerged from those meetings on the general elements of the elections, as well as whether they will be held together or separately.
