One of the achievements of the National Commission for the Defense of Competition (ProCompetencia) is the approval of the National Competition Policy, which is a key tool to strengthen the regulatory framework and promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the country.
This was stated by the president of the Board of Directors of Pro-Competencia, María Elena Vásquez Taveras, during a mass held in the Primate Cathedral on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the institution.
This policy, aligned with the National Development Strategy 2030, positions our country as a regional benchmark in fair competition practices and inclusive economic development,” he expressed.
This initiative, contemplated in the law, establishes a vision of sustainable and inclusive economic growth, based on innovation, efficiency and quality.
In addition, it improves the capacity of Pro-Competencia and other institutions to implement effective regulation of free competition in the markets, for the benefit of companies and consumers.
