They blame Eduardo Salhuana for alleged prostitution network in Congress

In an interview given to Canal N, Congressman Jorge Montoya, member of the Honor and Democracy bench, blamed the president of Congress, Eduardo Salhuana, and the Board of Directors for the lack of investigation and inaction in identifying those allegedly responsible for an alleged prostitution ring that would operate within Parliament.

Montoya maintained that the responsibility falls on the Board of Directors and its head, regardless of whether they have been censured, and insisted on the need to adopt clear and transparent measures in this regard.

In addition, he pointed out that the Oversight Commission’s function is to supervise legislators, not Congress staff, which is why he considers that Juan Burgos has exceeded his powers. However, he stated that, if relevant information is obtained, it should be sent to the Public Ministry for its respective investigation.

“The investigations of the Oversight Commission have made it possible to know how many people were hired by APP and Fuerza Popular, which is relevant for citizens to understand the management of Congress,” Montoya pointed out.
