The five Peruvian destinations that were selected last year in the Top 100 Green Destinations 2024 competition have been nominated again, this time for the prestigious Green Destinations Top 100 People’s Choice Award 2025.

It is an international recognition, awarded by public voting, highlighting the most significant global sustainability story during the renowned ITB Berlin travel fair.
The competing destinations are: Los Órganos (Piura), Cavinzas Islands and Palomino Islets (Callao), Tingo María National Park (Huánuco), Kuélap and Gocta (Amazonas), and Allpahuayo Mishana National Reserve (Loreto).
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) calls on all Peruvians to support these destinations on their path to international recognition. Voting is open until January 24, 2025, and interested parties can cast their vote HERE.
Since its creation in 2014, the Green Destinations “Top 100 Stories” contest has promoted the dissemination of destinations and businesses that are examples of sustainable tourism. This year, in addition to the stories selected by a specialized jury in six categories, the Audience Award allows citizens support their favorite destination and share good practices from the Green Destinations 2024 Top 100 contest.

The “Green Destinations Top 100 Stories” contest It takes place annually, and is a crucial platform for destinations looking to highlight their efforts in sustainable tourism.
The selected participants will receive valuable global exposure and promotion through Green Destinations marketing channels, as well as in the Ceremony that will take place within the framework of the prestigious ITB Berlin 2025 fair.
