Two tourists drowned this Friday on Cana Bay beach, in Punta Cana, La Altagracia province, while another is missing.
The information was confirmed to the newspaper Hoy by Bruno Benítez, director of Risk and Disaster Management of the Verón Mayor’s Office, who also announced that two other foreigners were taken to a health center.
Preliminary reports indicate that a total of eight people were affected while they were on the beach, since three others also received assistance but there was no need to take them to receive medical attention.
So far the nationality of the foreigners is unknown.
