Aiming for his next re-election, the Mayor of Cerro Largo is forming a working group, mostly made up of people who do not belong to the political sphere, with the aim of outlining policies to be implemented in the medium and long term.
Cerro Largo 2030 Team will be in charge of developing a series of actions in those non-traditional areas of the Municipalities that allow the department to take off, develop and improve opportunities for its more than 90,000 inhabitants according to the latest Population and Housing Census of the INE.
“There are things that I am convinced I would do again and things that I have to correct. The function of these 4 years has given me the experience to modify. The people themselves have told me this and one cannot be stupid or closed-minded, which is why I hope that the next government will be much better than this one.” held José Yurramendi.

Yurramendi said that employment should be the main axis on which to work during the next 5 years. “All these actions have to result in more and better work for people.
