The National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) this Thursday ratified Celso Juan Marranzini and the other members who accompanied him as its president in his plan presented to the organization’s assembly.
The board of directors today formally assumed its functions for the period 2025-2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting economic development and social well-being in the Dominican Republic.
This board was elected during the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly of CONEP, in a democratic, transparent and power-free process. In said assembly, the members of the only group presented, headed by Celso Juan Marranzini Esteva, were unanimously elected.

In his speech as re-elected president, Celso Juan Marranzini Esteva expressed his gratitude to the members of CONEP for the trust placed in his candidacy. He highlighted his determination to continue strengthening collaboration between the productive sectors to generate more opportunities and continue moving towards a more competitive and equitable country.
“I am committed to continuing to work proactively and responsibly. I am convinced that, together with the women and men who make up this organization, we will be able to remain united in defense of free enterprise and firmly face the challenges that lie ahead.«said Marranzini.
As a result of this election, the new elected authorities of CONEP, in addition to its president, Celso Juan Marranzini Esteva, of Multiquimica Dominicana, SA, are: Julio V. Brache, of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), first vice president; Lina García, from Envases Antillanos SRL, second vice president; Roberto Herrera, from the Dominican Association of the Electrical Industry (ADIE), third vice president; Leonardo Matos, from Central Romana Corporation, secretary; and Christopher Paniagua, from Banco Popular Dominicano, SA, treasurer.
Likewise, as directors this new board includes Carlos Guillermo León, from Banco Múltiple BHD, SA; Lucile Houellemont, from the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD); Paola Rainieri, from Grupo Puntacana; Amelia Vicini, from INICIA; Juan Bancalari, from the National Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dom. Rep. (ASONAHORES); Rafael E. Izquierdo, from Seguros Universal; Eduardo Cruz, from ARS Humano; Juana Barceló, from Barrick Pueblo Viejo; and Carlos Iglesias, from the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and Production (CCPS).
Likewise, as directors are Manuel Pozo Perelló, from Induban, representing the Association of Industries and Companies of Haina and the Southern Region, Inc (AIE Haina and the South); Carlos
José Martí, from Grupo Martí; Mario Lama, from the National Organization of Commercial Companies (ONEC); Claudia Pellerano, from the Dominican Association of Free Zones (ADOZONA); Rosanna Ruíz, from the Association of Commercial Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA); Carlos Cueto of the Dominican Telephone Company, SA (CLARO Dominicana).
In addition, Luis Álvarez, from the Dominican National Brewery; Fernando Villanueva, from Grupo Viamar; Mercedes Ramos, from Grupo Ramos; Raúl Risek, from the Dominican Chamber of Construction (CADOCON); Jaak Rannik, from the Shipowners Association of the Dominican Republic (ANRD); Luis José Bonilla, from the Association of Industrialists of the Northern Region (AIREN); and José Gior Ariza, from Investa Capital Partners, economic advisor to CONEP.
While Cesar R. Dargam Espaillat will continue to serve as executive vice president of CONEP, reinforcing continuity in the strategic management of the institution.
